SITUATION
Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe required
a new generation integrated system customized to manage
a wide range of business departments. The bank was
running a Unix-based legacy system which was not user-friendly
or flexible to their changing requirements. Information
was managed in Excel sheets and the various departments
were running different systems. For example, The Treasury
was running two systems for their front office and
back-end transactions. These issues were posing challenges
to the users and management.
SOLUTION
DIT implemented LeasePAC V. 3.0 as the core system
for the finance house. The implementation spanned
almost all the departments in the bank. The implementation
involved customizing the system to incorporate the
good features from the previous system plus the benefits
of the new system.
