SITUATION
Citigroup was looking for a solution to electronically
archive a range of business critical documents. The
documents range from investigation information, customer
queries, statements, general ledger reports to SWIFT
data. A fortnight worth of SWIFT data alone could
fill a filing cabinet. Space and storage was a major
issue, but more importantly Citigroup was concerned
about retrieval of the data once filed. This is because
at Citigroup, Data is kept in boxes for a month before
being sent to the Bank’s offsite record archive
centre. This means that retrieving any information
will involve physically searching through boxes of
paper reports. It was not uncommon for this process
to take several days, especially if the relevant data
had to be brought back from the record archive centre.
SOLUTION
In order to meet the clients needs, Fintech team implemented
DataStore32. The solution provides for Image import
allowing the Bank to integrate imaging functionality
alongside the COLD/ERM system, without disrupting
its existing systems and processes.
